While we are trying to add something new to our agricultural sector, existing knowledge is our most useful tool. We consistently try to learn from our customers, as understanding their work is the path towards truly improving it.

Today we operate with a product shaped from the experiences of many. Our solution is focused on increasing productivity and available information. We make simplicity and consistency our highest priority.

Ceres and DEXIA contract signing

Dominica's Export Import Agency (DEXIA) showed great interest, and we collaborated in a 1 year pilot project, which was completed in November 2022. This pilot helped us to fine-tune our design as we were exposed to an enterprise agricultural trading environment, and the operations of many buyers and farmers.

We did some research and built a prototype. We got the opportunity to share our idea with multiple farmers and fisherfolk, and other stakeholders for feedback.

Ceres started out of interest in the agricultural sector in Dominica. We found it difficult to find reliable information about the market, and found that this was a problem that we the ability to solve.

We have been awarded 3rd place winners of the 2023 GEMS Entrepreneurship challenge for our business pitch on the agricultural supply chain and how we are building a business capable of streamlining agricultural procurement and data collection. 

Our goal is to provide products and services which will increase productivity of agricultural buyers and farmers and make the sale of agricultural goods easier and more efficient. We beleive that the best way to achieve this is through technology.
